We are looking for new voices... Soprano, Alto, Tenor and  Bass. If you have sung in choirs before or are looking for a new singing challenge why not join us at one of our rehearsals on a Tuesday evening?

Rehearsals are held throughout the year at St. Edward's Infant School  Hall from 7.15pm until 9.45 pm. There is ample parking space. Click here for map.

Cheltenham Bach Choir is Cheltenham's premier choir, offering a wide repertoire of singing opportunities - from Bach to Opera. Stephen Jackson, our Musical Director, has a national reputation as Director of the BBC Symphony Chorus. Our Assistant Conductor is Tim Morris, a well known conductor and singer in many musical circles in Cheltenham, Gloucester, and beyond.

Our reputation is known outside our local area and as a result we have been invited to take part in a number of prestigious events, including Carmina Burana in the BBC Proms, an Opera Gala in Birmingham Symphony Hall (with the Halle Choir), Beethoven's 9th Symphony and music from Porgy and Bess as part of the Cheltenham International Music Festival, and two appearances in BBC Songs of Praise in 2004.

The Choir also has an active social life with informal parties, pub sessions and organised events. We are currently planning a concert tour to Germany in April 2008.

For most of its concerts the choir operates a  minimum attendance rule. Membership is subject to audition and choir members are subject to a reaudition every 5 years.
